Like the floodtide drowning the shore.
Drug me, you’re all over me.
You watch my blood begin to boil.
Electric spine - open mind.
Watch me all in flames.
On a butterfly I ride.
The world outside stays numb tonight
Free your mind, express the forgotten
The world inside is yours tonight
In the chaos I find peace
Please me, remind the gods of my name
I believe there is one seat left for me .
Electric spine - open mind.
Watch me all in flames.
On a butterfly I ride.
The world outside stays numb tonight
Free your mind, express the forgotten
The world inside is yours tonight

The use of the phrase "drug me", to me, makes this very obviously NOT about drugs. In Flames lyrics tend to be much more complex than that. I believe it's a love song but not in such a simple way, it could be interpreted differently to "boy meets girl" type love.
"Drug me, infiltrate my neverland. Like the floodtide drowning the shore. Drug me, you’re all over me. You watch my blood begin to boil."
This verse, to me, is Anders addressing the "you negative" in the chorus that he "leaves behind".
"I love that lullaby, start me up again Electric spine, open mind"
This one is about someone/something entering your life, "electric spine" meaning the tingly feeling you get in your spine whenever something fucking amazing happens, and it "starts you up again" and "opens your mind" to the person/thing.
"I leave you negative behind. Watch me all in flames. On a butterfly I ride."
Coming back to the first verse, leaving the negative things behind and renewing yourself ("watch me all in flames" referring to your old self being left behind) and "on a butterfly I ride" once again describing the awesome feeling you're receiving from the new person/thing.
"Inhale the light, relax for some time The world outside stays numb tonight Free your mind, express the forgotten The world inside is yours tonight"
This part is basically revelling in the joy that the new person/thing brings you ("inhale the light") and forgetting the outside world and pretty much concentrating on the new person/thing for a while.
"Please me, deliver the insane In the chaos I find peace Please me, remind the gods of my name I believe there is one seat left for me."
This one is slightly different from the rest of the song. "In the chaos I find peace" could mean that he enjoys seeing his old life be destroyed/forgotten about, the old "eye of the storm" thing. The "remind the gods of my name..." line I'd imagine is some sort of allusion to not wanting to be left behind by what still means a lot to him from his old life.

Personally I think this song is about leaving a toxic, controlling relationship and refinding/reconnecting with yourself. Could be with a person or a substance.
To me the combination of the song title and lyrics make me think that way.
First off the name is "Minus". That is an indication of getting rid of something for me personally. I do not associate that word with adding something like drugs or love to your life.
"Drug me, infiltrate my neverland. Like the floodtide drowning the shore. Drug me, you’re all over me. You watch my blood begin to boil."
To me the above lines describe a negative controlling relationship. Pretty much every action is described as an external force driving it. "Drug me" someone else does it to you.
Words like infiltrate and drowning are also rather negative and forcefull. Infiltration is basically unauthorized entry. Drowning is rather final and a bit suffocating.
"You watch my blood begin to boil" my blood is boiling is an expression of anger. That makes me more inclined to think the lines before that are ment in a negative way.
" I love that lullaby, start me up again. Electric spine - open mind."
This part is about remembering the past, wanting a change, find courage and see with clarity.
"I leave you negative behind. Watch me all in flames. On a butterfly I ride."
This here is cutting the negative out and embracing live. Living it your way. For all to see, especially that what was holding you back.
"Inhale the light, relax for some time The world outside stays numb tonight Free your mind, express the forgotten The world inside is yours tonight"
If you have ever been in a toxic relationship then you proberbly would have had a feeling that you are not allowed to be yourself, your emotions don't matter and your opinions are unwanted. To me "The world outside stays numb tonight" is a statement that the negative no longer influences what you think, feel. Your inside world is yours again.
"Please me, deliver the insane In the chaos I find peace Please me, remind the gods of my name I believe there is one seat left for me ."
To me this is about that you matter and that you are allowed a place of equal importance in the world. When the negative was holding you back, the rest of the world felt like gods, beings above you. But no longer, there is a seat for you now among them.

This song is definetly about those very special times that stand out above everything else. Those days where it seems like the world is yours for the time being.

The world inside.... in other words, your mind.... its about this times when you have contol of yourself ;)?

I think this is a love song, about a girl so attractive she's like a drug that confuses. She's a turn on but at the same time a total bitch.

I love the chorus.. so beautiful.. These guys are the most talented band I have ever heard..

Its about drugs, fools

He's right, it is about drugs...i don't see how you could miss that, but i also think that vivahate95 is right to an extent as well

Whoar, I love that song... it really became my favourite IF... even now that I know its meaning...

Drugs, love...what the difference? To some people they create a feeling that, when described in words seem very similar. So basically, this song could be about either of those in my opinion...
