Week In Week Out Lyrics

Is there something more?
Surely there must be
You can't lose everything
So you're quite happy
To live with nothing more
Than a life-long shopping list
You're ticking off all credit
Well you paid for it
Week in week out
These lucky charms will always let you down
Maybe next week, we'll see
Maybe
You stand in life completely still
Feel really truly unfulfilled
Week in week out

Where are you going to turn?
When all ambition fails?
Why try any more
If human nature's still?
Fight the hand of God
To touch the lucky few
There's no such thing as God
Or is he lying too?

Week in week out
These lucky charms will always let you down
Maybe next week, we'll see
Maybe
You stand in life completely still
Feel really truly unfulfilled
Week in week out

Week in week out
These lucky charms will always let you down
Maybe next week, we'll see
Maybe
You stand in life completely still
Feel really truly unfulfilled
Week in week out

Anyone have any takes on the song? I kind of get that its about the mystery of life. Why no comments?

i guess its probably about doing the same thing all the time 'week in week out'. And then trying to stop doing the same thing 'maybe next week we'll see'

^^ I agree.

The line "your lucky charms will always let you down" really hits me - I think he's talking about those things in life that you hope will shine a little light on the typical mundane routine, but sometimes even they fail you.

The lyrics are slightly wrong here, it should be: "There's no such thing as god nor easy money too."

Great song though, OTCC was their best album.
