The Late Great Cassiopia Lyrics
A minor where a major wants to be
And walked along the water in my sleep
Wrapped up in a New York magazine
Well maybe that part is not worth mentioning
Even giants have to watch how they decline
I will until the day that I die
I will until the day that I die.

I think this song is about someone that is in love with a person and wants them to love them back. So this lover does all they can,(even the impossible), to try to win the heart of the one that they love dearly.

Nice double post, Rachel. ^_^ I have a completely different opinion about this song. I think it's about being famous, and never getting a break. 'Now, what will they say?', might refer to the press. Also, 'Wrapped up in a New York magazine', makes that sort of reference. 'Let me down slow' and 'Even giants have to watch how they decline', might refer to slowly disspearing from the radar. Not being popular anymore. Of course, I may be completely wrong. ;)
@greened It does feel like this song is about someone trapped in the public eye, and I find the lyrics, "Was that the page that tells how I was falling?" interesting because it sounds like someone else is there with them commiserating or relating their shared experience with celebrity.

"Even giants have to watch how they decline..." is really interesting: even those who create the spectacle of their missteps have to watch the spectacle themselves: The people being watched are also watching themselves.

Also, I'm not sure about the 'I'd wheelie in the sky' part. It's hard to tell if that's what they're saying. O_O

does anyone has the lyrics of "uniform"? one of essex green's song. i really want it!

I'll try and get them up soon. It's hard to tell what she's saying sometimes, but I think I've got most of it understood. ;)

I'm sure these are correct:
"I was born today, a Northern constellation..." "I stacked my words, a manufactured legend..." "'Til the news spun circles and there I saw you..." "Was that the page that tells how I was falling?"
I agree with the general precis about the rise and eventual fall of celebrities and fame; comets blazing trails across the sky.

Thanks. I think those work better. I'll change them.

It won't let me edit. Oh well.
