Again & Again Lyrics
Do it again
Do it again
Again and again
It's a perfect shame
Creep under my door and we do it again, oh
And creepy and creepy and creepy, oh
Again, again, again, again
Do it again
Do it again
Do it again
Do it again
It's stupid how we always seem to do it again, oh
And stupid and perfect
I hate you, I want you
I hate you, I hate you, oh
Again, again, again, again
Again and again and again
Do it again
Do it again
Do it again
Do it again

I think it's about a secret relationship. The video sheds some light on this too. There is a lot of symbolism, such as the white peacock on the piano, which I found can represent Fidelity.
"It's a shame, it's a shame It's a perfect shame Creep under my door and we do it again, oh
It's easy and easy and easy and easy And creepy and creepy and creepy, oh Again, again, again, again"
Sounds like it's too bad that they can't have their relationship out in the open for some reason and they have to creep around behind everyone's backs, which is easier than making it public and possibly causing problems. In the video they are together, but yet they act like they aren't.
"ay my name, say my name, say my stupid name It's stupid how we always seem to do it again, oh
You're so stupid and perfect And stupid and perfect I hate you, I want you I hate you, I hate you, oh Again, again, again, again"
I think this part is about the whole tug of war of not being able to have someone fully, and hating them for it, yet you still want them. And since they can't be together and have to act like they barely know one another, she just wants something, anything like something as simple as her name just to know that they are together and he knows and wants her.
And this is their cycle, they just keep going around &around without the relationship being able to go any further, because they don't allow it.

the peacock = symbolizing pride. its a relationship that could be torn by the environment around it. funny, because well, the girl that introduced me to this band, is in the EXACT situation as the song.
either way. very bittersweet song.

This song sorta seems to be filled with a friends with benefit connotation. Where the narrarator/singer seems to be in a love/hate relationship with the other person. They have nothing in common and don't get along, but when they're around each other, they just want to rip the other's clothes off. I think we've all been there, to some degree

She's struggling with desire and self-control, and it's messin' up her self-esteem. She's conflicted about how perfect she feels with-in an imperfect situation. Perhaps the relationship is in limbo and it's driving her crazy, or she knows it's doomed and she continues to play it out. Either way, it's a perfect shame...

honestly, it reminds me of someone who is constantly SAd but they love/miss their 馃崌pist - "creep under my door and we do it again" / "youre so stupid and perfect" / "i hate you, i want you, i hate you, i hate you"
and the 馃崌pist prolly just does it for fun, no feeling attached but the one who is being SAd wants more than just 'fun time' - "again and again and again, do it again" / "say my name, say my name say my stupid name"
the SAd person know its bad, yet they still love/miss their 馃崌pist - "its a shame, its a shame, its a perfect shame" / "its stupid how we always seem to do it again"
and - "its easy and easy and easy and easy and creepy and creepy and creepy" - is like how theyre a 'easy' prey to their 馃崌pist and they find it creppy, yet they want more.
thats just how i see it sorry if it makes no sense馃槶

It sounds to me like a constant back and forth ping pong battle of the sexes. Or just someone in a relationship getting into a fight and how they always get into it again and again but they love eachother anyway.

I take that back, there seems to be an awful lot of meanings behind the peacock. The Peacock also represents pride. Hmm, prehaps their pride is getting in the way of having an open relationship. Neither will open up first and say how they really feel.

i feel the song is like they keep fighting and then having make-up sex but it happens frequently.

when i first heard this song, i thought it was about an affair or something... hmm

I feel like it's about someone having sex with someone else, and getting tired of it's repetitveness. "Say my name /Say my name/Say my stupid name/It's so stupid and perfect" To me, that's like her saying she's so sick of the monotany of it all, of the sex. And she hates him for it, but at the same time she "loves" him because she wants this sporadic sex as well.
