Get Smashed Gate Crash Lyrics
there's a fair few girls but mostly guys,
got supplies now we in the drive,
I hope we got the house number right.
door swings and the music swells out,
it's quite packed yeah you can tell,
in the hall welcome to hell.
we are the wasted youth,
and we are the future too.
Welcome to our world,
we are the wasted youth,
and we are the future.
and rip the place apart.
cut the brakes, text your mates
let's tear this house apart
we don't care what we doing,
don't care when they come back,
our parents will be screwing.
smoking up in the outside shed,
passing out in the upstairs toilet,
getting laid on the parent's bed.
we drank the alcohol cabinet clean,
but still that felt minor,
'til we put the hifi through the tv screen.
we are the wasted youth,
and we are the future too.
Welcome to our world,
we are the wasted youth,
and we are the future.
We are not responsible.
smoking up in the outside shed,
passing out in the upstairs toilet,
getting laid on the parent's bed.
we drank the alcohol cabinet clean,
but still that felt minor,
'til we put the hifi through the tv screen.

just a few words i think are wrong, i think its actually "it's quite packed yeah you can tell" instead of "it's quite catchy if you could tell" and also, i think it is "'til we put a high five through the tv screen" instead of "hifi". pretty self explanitory song. showing what the youth of today is like, and that all they really care about is having sex and drug filled parties.

no its defntly "hifi" coz "till we put a high five through the tv screen dusnt make any sense.

lol how does putting a high five through the tv screen make sense? pretty sure its right with hifi...
loving the lyrics to this song

its hifi. james (singer/mc) says in the NME track by track

the good thing about hadouken! is that when you just want some upbeat music without obscure lyrics there like my #1 choice

I think this song is pretty self explanitory. Its disgusing the change in the youth how our lifes are consumed in a world of, drink, drugs and sex. "Welcome to our world, we are the wasted youth and we are the future too" this line is just saying how this place that is being created is viewed as another species and that this is what the outcome of the drink and drugs stage will cause, a youth without any morals.

Its like everyone else has been saying, its about an influence on kids due to drug and sex, but it mainly refers to just them throwing a giant party in their house and trashing the place, not caring about what their parents think when they return from wherever they are. i dont think Hadouken! would focus too much on something as serious as bad influences and having an important song to sing about it. they have aenough seriousness to do that, but thats not what this song is mainly about.
