With A Little Help From My Friends Lyrics
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
(Does it worry you to be alone?)
How do I feel by the end of the day
(Are you sad because you're on your own?)
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
I need somebody to love
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love
Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time
(What do you see when you turn out the light)
I can't tell you but I know it's mine
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
I
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love
with a little help from my friends

I must agree with the above comment. Though the Beatles are undeniably awesome, I feel that this version adds more soul to the song. Listen to him scream! That man feels it. Plus, I like his tempo and phrasing better.

beatles cover. i remember it was the theme to "the wonder years".

such a great song, yes it was def. the theme to the wonder years.

yea, the wonder years was, and still is the best sit com. i mean you cant make a better sitcom than the wonder years. the song alone gave character to the sitcom

I love this song. However, I like the Beatles(or Sgt Peppers as they call it) version of the song better. Ringo has a better more deep meaningful voice for it.

the beatles said this was the only cover of any song that anybody ever did that they approved of and liked.

See this song in the WOODSTOCK DVD...it`s amazing!!!!!!! Joe Cocker has this deep voice and I think that the sgt peppers version doesn't feel right compared to Joe's version!!!!!

josephwolf; do you have anything meaningful to say? You've already posted that comment twice......Once under another song.
Anyway I love this song. His voice is full of soul and I agree that his cover captures me moreso than the Beatles version.

the woodstock version was amazing...

Yeah, I love the fucking Beatles, but this is a better version of this song.
