Country Pie Lyrics
When he's got the hogshead up on his toe
Oh me, oh my
Love that country pie.
When he's playin' 'til the break of day
Oh me, oh my
Love that country pie.
What do I care ?
Blueberry, apple, cherry, pumpkin and plum
Call me for dinner, honey, I'll be there.
Tie me on 'er turn her loose
Oh me, oh my
Love that country pie.
Ain't runnin' any race
Give to me my country pie
I won't throw it up in anybody's face.
Little Jack Horner's got nothin' on me
Oh me, oh my
Love that country pie.

it could be interpreted as pussy, i mean we all like pussy too, don't we?

the song is about shoting herione, trust me I know, "I won't throw it up in anybodies face," sometimes when you shot herione you throw it up, which sucks because it blows your high," "Tie me on her and turn her lose," when you shot herione you tie a band around your arm, and let me tell you the high is like this song, its a fucking blast, he uses the metaphor of a women's love to repesent his love for tar.

I love this song, it is so much fun.
I was listening to the vinyl of Nashville Skyline (Dylan's country album) and when this song came on, I couldn't help but smile at the lyrics. It's just a fun country song with a Bob Dylan accent.
There isn't really anything to interpret.
Bob Dylan basically just likes pie. I think we all do.
I reccommend this song to any Dylan fans who want to hear a departure from his norm!

this songs, to me, stands out on nashville skyline. a definate one to check out.
'Rasberry, strawberry, lemon and lime What do I care ? Blueberry, apple, cherry, pumpkin and plum Call me for dinner, honey, I'll be there'
'I don't need much and that ain't no lie Ain't runnin' any race Give to me my country pie I won't throw it up in anybody's face'
(just some of my favourite parts)
i sure do 'love that country pie'

I just love what you said:
"Bob Dylan basically just likes pie. I think we all do."
For some reason it made me laugh very heartily, I don't know if that was your intention.
I love this song too its very jolly and just really well played too, love the guitar and piano.

Yeah, that's right. Bob Dylan just likes pie. I think that's the way Dylan himself would interpret it. Waaay too many Dylan songs are over analyzed and over interpreted. Bravo for a great analysis.

I love pie too

right its a better high when you shot herione in between your toes, plus it hides the tracers.
