Amethyst Deceivers Lyrics
Pay your respects to the vultures
For they are your future
Our fathers and mothers
Have failed to release us
Into the welcoming arms
Of the amethyst deceivers
(Amethyst deceivers)
For they are your future
Our fathers and mothers
Have failed to release us
Into the welcoming arms
Of the amethyst deceivers

Ah, one forgets all those live improvisations!
A memento mori?

First line is by Austin Osman Spare, and an "amethyst deciever" is a very distinctive looking mushroom. http://www.davidosbornphotography.co.uk/USERIMAGES/01.Amethyst%20Deciever.jpg

It's about death, it's pretty obvious. We should be aware of that we are all going to die, and we should appreciate life. And we were born to die. Anyway, "Pay your respects to the vultures" is the best metaphor of death I've ever heared.
