Sarah Lyrics
My Sarah
My Sarah
You hold my heart so don't let go
You are all I need to live
My love to you I'll give
My Sarah
My Sarah
You hold my heart so don't let go
You are all I need to live
My love to you I'll give
Oh my Sarah
My Sarah
You hold my heart so don't let go
You are all I need to live
My love to you I'll always give
You hold my heart so don't let go
You are all I want to know
Oh my Sarah
Sarah
Sarah
Sarah
No, no, no, no, no, no
Sarah
Sarah
Be mine

In my family this has always been my song it was released about a year after i was born. it was an integral part of my childhood we had it on 7" my mum and dad would dance around the living room with me to it right up until my late teens ( i have a strange family). i treasured this single. When my parents split and we moved, it got shattered. my mother found me balling my eyes out clutching the fragments she vow she would replace it. she did it was the best Christmas present ever and i cry even more. It normally make me cry but i love it, it is part of my identity, it is one of the few thing that make me realise the love that my mum has for me.

It was wrote by phil lynott, lead singer with the band. it is all about his daughter, Sarah, that he had when married ri leslie crowthers daughter

wow! I can't belive that noone has written anything about this song! I was told that this song came about when the writer had a baby girl called Sarah.. I could be wrong, but I like to think this is what the songs about. This song means a lot to me, the day my parents left me at university my daddy handed me a cd and this was one of the songs on it. He always said that this song reminded him of me, and this is how he felt about me! Man i love that guy!

I saw Lizzy on 3 occasions in the late 70s/early 80s,each time with a different lead guitarist-Robertson/Moore/White,and always found them thrilling to watch and brilliant to hear, but sadly never saw them perform this gem. What seems strange to me is that although this is quite a slow one (by their standards)is that their fabulous twin-edged guitar sound was never more evident!.Definitely-A POP ROCK CLASSIC!!.

A wonderful, beautiful song! ThinLizzy songs never fail to amaze. So much talent and thought goes into ALL their recordings, I am one of their biggest fans and have been so since the band formed. They WERE the best; ever! ROCK ON Guys and Gals!
