Nikorette Lyrics
Sitting in the sun eating ice cream
Texting my friend about a bad, bad dream
Just trying to find someone who knows me
And I don’t want to go to your Mason Lodge
There’s nothing more sad than a lynching mob
Full of rational men who believe in God
Nothing makes sense when the wave comes through
Well, if there’s something in me, well, I know it’s in you
If there’s something in me, well, I bet it’s in you
Says all he needs now is some capital
It’s a pirate world, it’s a free-for-all
They take your bright ideas and they make them dull
From the opera house to the grocery store
My love for them I cannot ignore
Like a human voice in a quiet morgue
I don’t want to wear no dead man’s suit
I don’t want to wait until the moon gets blue
I don’t want to wait until the moon turns blue
Just one little hit
You’ll hold it in
Paradise lost, haven’t found it yet
Will you talk me down if I get upset?
Be the cool washcloth to my fevered head
I don’t want to dream if it don’t come true
If there’s something in me, well, I guess it’s in you
If there’s somewhere in me, then I know it’s in you
Just one little hit
You’re holding in
You’ll hold it in
You’re holding in
You’ll hold it in
I don’t want to dream if it don’t come true
If there’s something in me, well, I guess it’s in you
If there’s somewhere in me, then I know it’s in you
If it happens to me, it’s going to happen to you
Whatever happens to me, it’s going to happen to you

I'm not a great fan of the Mystic valley Band myself but to say this is absolute crap is wrong, he's just taken his writing in a different direction and frankly it would be sad if he were still writing "Letting Of The Happiness" (not that I'm saying it was bad) this diffinatly shows more maturity no more of the lost boy trying to find himself.

i strongly disagree with ya, badge

This song is brilliant. I saw him perform it live last week and it was so good. "But everyone I see I think I’ve known before From the opera house to the grocery store My love for them I cannot ignore Like a human voice in a quiet morgue"

i like the line "There’s nothing more sad than a lynching mob Full of rational men who believe in God"

fuckin masons....... jkjk

saw him last night and it was amazing

"It’s all just a fix Just one little hit You’ll hold it in"
weed! i love that the "chorus" seems to be about a hit of marijuana? haha cause you know, you hold it in so you get more high I love conor.

i've listened to this 928374923874 times

I love this song soo much! He talked about it being trying to quit smoking at the show. So that's always how I kind of think of it. Makes sense to me, I guess thats not really my own interpretation though. haha.
I think its about more then just quitting smoking though justice. I think he's tying to draw the parallel between quitting smoking and quitting god. - paradise lost haven't found it yet. - he's trying to show how the comforts of religion are a addiction,- just one more hit hold it in, your holding in, I don't wanna dream if it won't come true

Guitar player who sings the "fix" lines name is Nik Freitas, I think that has something to do with it.
