Wrecked Metal Lyrics

Press your foot down, like I told you
See the houses, rush on by
Reach out your hand, touch my arm and
Let me breath you, as you cry
I can hardly wait
Hope we wont be late
And you know its time
Just ignore all signs
The goal is, to get there Without
fear, in high speed We dance through,
the darkness We won’t stop, ’til we’re stopped
Suck my thumb and, feel my
finger as it wipes your, tears away
Watch the concrete, come on closer
Marks of us will, always stay Face is
aged by fear Pass along the weir
And we wont grow old Corpse look
fine when cold The goal is, to get
there Without fear, in high speed
We dance through, the darkness We
won’t stop, ’til we’re stopped

Cover art for Wrecked Metal lyrics by Zeigeist

I think this song tells a story of two friends or lovers the moments before they commit suicide.

They accelerate a car towards a weir. "Press your foot down" "Pass along the weir"

Their plan seem to be to drown themselves. "The goal is to get there without fear in high speed" ("get there" probably refers to afterlife) "And we wont grow old, corpse look fine when cold" (it's cold under the water)

The unclear thing here is their motivation. They seem to be in a hurry to kill themselves. "I can hardly wait. Hope we wont be late"

...and oh, almost forgot about the title. "Wrecked Metal" Hints that the car crashes, they succeed.

Sad but very good song!

Sounds like you're right on track!

But where does "We dance through, the darkness We won't stop, 'til we're stopped" fit in the story?

Please tell me your view on "The Lake" too, I posted a comment there. More people should speculate on what zeigeist meant with their lyrics.

Not Valid

"We dance through, the darkness" Probably some metaphor for racing through the night with their car. "We won't stop, 'til we're stopped" Hmm this one is harder.
