Joy Lyrics
There’s an itty bitty boy tugging hard at your hand
Born bitter as a lemon, but you must understand
That you’ve been bringing me joy
I’m only frightened cause you finally gave me something to lose
And it’s as loud as a thunderclap and you hear it too
But you’ve been bringing me joy
I’m only calm when I get lost within your wilderness
Born crooked as a creek bed and come to confess
That you’ve been bringing me joy
Another blue bird dying but singing the blues
And it's a heartfelt silly sort of bumbling tune
About how you're bringing me joy

I've loved the music Sam Beam for many years now, but never really gave this particular song much thought...that is until recently I found a connection to it through my interpretation of it. To me it's about a man who wants so badly to be with his love, and wants to be their rock. But the harder he tries, the more scared he gets of being without them. The line "I'm only frightened cause you finally gave me something to lose" tells me that he can't picture a life without them. He's trying to apologize in a way, because his past has made him bitter, but when he's with them, all that matters is the here and now. I can really relate because I've been going through similar feelings lately.

Is there one line on here that's correct? This is attrocious
