Landslide (Fleetwood Mac cover) Lyrics
I climbed a mountain, I turned around
And I saw my reflection in a snow covered hill
'Til the landslide brought it down
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life, oh
'Cause I've built my life around you
Time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older, too
'Cause I've built my life around you
Time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older, too
I get older, too
Oh, I climbed a mountain, I turned around
And if you see my reflection in a snow covered hill
The landslide brought it down
The landslide brought it down
Oh, oh, oh

Here's my interpretation of this song...
I took my love and took it down
I tried to love but it didn’t work out. I climbed a mountain, I turned around I experienced something new, and left it with knowledge. And I saw my reflection in a snow covered hill I thought I was seeing who I really was. 'til a landslide brought it down But the experience taught me that I don’t even know myself yet.
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
How do I know what love is? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I find the “real me”? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Am I going to survive such a dramatic change in my life? Can I handle the seasons of my life? Will I be able to handle more of this later in life?
Well, I've been afraid of changing cause I've Built my life around you
I’m afraid to move on because I’m so used to you. Time makes you bolder But the experience made me stronger. Even children get older Everyone get’s wiser. And I'm getting older, too I'm getting older, too I’m getting wiser, too.
I took my love and took it down
I tried to love but it didn’t work out. I climbed a mountain, I turned around I experienced something new, and left it with knowledge. And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hill And if you think you still know me… The landslide brought it down The landslide brought it down You’re wrong.
By the way, this is my favorite cover of this song.

This is a great cover of Fleetwood Mac. I was glad to see it on the Greatest Hits CD.

Awesome remake. I think it tops Stevie Nicks version. Billy puts more emotion into the lyrics.

Somehow I think that this song would have fitted in the movie "Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind".

Available on the 1994 great B-Sides CD 'Pisces Iscariot'

this song is badass, i love it. its very cute

sweet jesus, you just wanna stick this one on repeat, put on a sweater and cry... but in a good way!

such a great song. so classic pumpkins.

it's a great remake, but only stevie can sing it like stevie. this should have been our prom song but we had some journey song instead. great lyrics and great acoustic guitar always mean a great song. no exception here.
