I applogize, it is at the beginning of the song. I didn't see it when I first looked at the page. Also, in the background, it appears as the crowd is saying "paul's not dead" but it's something like, "Block that kick..." it's a crowd at a soccer game. This is around the 5 minutes and 30 second mark...it's right around the part that reads, "So the wife called me and we'd better go to see a surgeon to price it ..." Anyway...that's it. |

I totally love this song...well, it's not quite a song...but anyway. This is another song that is linked to the whole "Paul is dead" scam. Intentional or not, that's how people saw it. It doesn't make any sense, but why do songs have to make sense? This is missing from the very beginning: [Bottle of Claret for you if I had realised... Well, do it next time. I forgot about it, George, I'm sorry. Will you forgive me? Yes.] Also, song4julia, as far as I know, these lyrics are correct...I checked with another site that has all of the songs listed and they match word for word...except for the part that's missing at the very beginning (in my post). BiteMe: No, they don't say "Smoke pot, smoke pot, everybody smoke pot." They do say, "got one, got one, everybody's got one." Thank you butterfingersbeck for pointing that earlier. The whole Paul being dead thing was something they played with. Somebody looked into a song a bit too far, The Beatles got wind of it, and went with it. Here's what I know about the whole thing: Apparently, the cover of Sgt. Pepper's album is supposed to be Paul's funeral, atleast that's what I've heard. And if you hold a mirror in the right spot on the bass drum in the middle, there's supposed to be an arrow that points to Paul and it should read "he died" or something like that. Paul's hand is on Ringo's shoulder (the clay figures), to comfort him...On the back cover, paul is the ONLY one that is standing with his back towards us. signifying him being dead (not sure how, but it does). In the Magical Myserty Tour movie, there's a scened where they're all singing and dancing and Paul has a black rose on his jacket, also signifying his death. To go back to the comment someone made about Paul being the man that died in the car, and that he was looking at a meter made, the meter made was Lovely Rita. The Abbey Road cover...The license plate on the VW Beetle reads "LMW(which I haven't heard has any meaning) 28 IF" The 28 IF supposedly means that Paul would have been 28 if he was still alive. John is wearing White and is represents God, Ringo, in his suit represents the Preacher, Paul - no shoes - dead. George, in his denim is either a Pall bearer, or a grave digger. I saw all of this on a special on VH1. It was interesting. I also have a few Beatles books...such as the anthology book. Gives you a bit of insight into it all. That's all I've got... |

Another song that reminds me of my friend Jake. At his funeral, we watched a slide show of his life, and this song played in the background. For the first year after his death, I couldn't listen to this song without crying. Lately, I've been thinking about him a lot...just trying to remember him. | Every time I hear this song, I am reminded of my friend Jake, who passed away a few years ago, due to cancer. He was only 15. The chorus reminds me of him the most, because I know he's in Heaven, in the arms of an Angel, being comforted after all of the pain he endured while he was alive. I also feel that he is my angel some days. He was a stronger person than I know I could ever be, not matter how long I live. This song was a comfort when he died, but it also made things harder knowing he was gone. Not a day goes by that I dont' think of him. I think she did an amazing job on this song, it's absolutely beautiful. I agree...this song has been viewed so many times, but not a single comment has been made. This week, our high school choir did a version of this song arranged by Kirby Shaw. It was amazing. 2 of my good friends had solos for the second and third verses. It was absolutely beautiful, and they recieved a standing ovation. This song is so powerful and beautiful. This is how I feel about my best friend - I would do anything for her...no matter what she needs and I know she would do the same for me. I guess that's what having a best friend is all about. |

Well, personally, I'm not the world's biggest Creed fan. But this song is good - I don't really have my own interpretation of it, but after reading all of this - I do have a few things to say. 1. You all make good points, I mean EVERYONE 2. So not everyone believes in God, that's your choice, not someone else's. OPD - I respect your beliefs. I am a Christian, and I love God with all of my heart and soul, but it's YOUR CHOICE on how you live your life, and I respect your choice for living your life the way you do. 3. Those of you who are Christians, you all have said things that seem to have been seeded by anger, maybe you all need to relax. It's not our place to judge, everyone will be judged by God in the end. 4. TKDAD, I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost several people who are very close to me, but never a family member. Again, saw this song live. It was AMAZING. They went off stage, as to say "we're not playing FreeBird" and the entire crowd started screaming and pounding on the seats. Finally, Billy came out and played a 10 minute piano solo that lead into FreeBird. It was amazing, then Johnny, Gary. and the rest of the band came out and played a 20 minute version of the song. This was dubbed my song by my best friend. He got me addicted to Skynyrd a few years ago, and we went to see them last summer. They played Tuesday's Gone and I cried through the whole song because I was so impressed, and I got to see Skynyrd with my two best friends (they're brother and sister). John's mother Julia died when he was 16. She was hit by a car and died almost suddenly. I believe this song is about his longing to see his mother again, and how he regrets not being able to know her. John grew up with his Aunt Mimi, who was Julia's sister. This song is on "The Beatles" or "The White Album" which is what most people refer to it as. Anyway, that's about all I have to say.
