MOVE was a fucked up organization, granted the steps they took in 85 we're absolutely absurd... John had a bunker set up ON THE TOP OF HIS HOUSE... so think about what it feels like to walk down the street with machine guns pointing at you.. because the actions taken were necessary, although a bit too much.

it was holland 1945's b-side.
also, there is a very old album that jeff did with robert of apples in stereo, where he talks about the songs... the version of this song on that is by far my favourite version. It's about four and a half minutes long, much slower and beautiful. |

i think that this song is more than just being a diamond, i get the whole vibe that it's sort of going political in the sense that it brings up the workers being hurt in the diamond mines in africa losing limbs and such, which i agree should stop. diamonds are not worth it, i think thats what the songs saying. |

I had a problem with the remake when i first heard it on purevolume.. but theyre equally as good, and i seriously wish i had this much talent. The one thing i miss from the demos is the synth/drum machines. all i know is that on the album they use much less synth/drum machine. (i'm not sure whethere the drum machine is on the synth or an actual drum machine) |
