I've always been a huge George Strait fan, this song is one of my favorites. He met a woman on a trip, they fell in love and had the time of their lives together, for the short time they were together and sadly they had to return to their normal lives, I think. Great song |

What is it about a woman that when a guy feels he no longer wants to be with her or she tells us to get out. we act like we don't care but in to be truthful we end up really regretting it terribly and do the things like this song says. I suppose I will never understand, thats probably because I'm a guy and we are stupid about these things. Its a great song one of my favorites by Mr. Strait, and he does sound great on this one. |

This is such a wonderful song, it is exactly how I feel with my wife. I'm not perfect but like the my favorite lines in the song says

I think this song is about a guy who is losing his wife or gf to a sickness or disease. He's feeling helpless because he can't help her. So he turns to God for help but she is stil dying, so he is angry at God because he turned to faith for help but it has done nothing. He's is feeling so helpless he doesn't know where to turn. He wants to keep his faith but at the same time his loved one is dying. At the end he is pleading with her to stay with him, telling her that they both still have things on earth left to do together if not he feels he is just goin to die without her. He doesn't understand why she has to go and he has to stay. Thats my interpretation, I hope my thoughts made a bit of sense. Its a really great song! |

This song makes me feel so sad, but also very angry. I can relate to the heart break she put him through. My ex did the same thing to me and she has no idea what it did to me and how it still affecting me. I can't get over the pain, and probably never will. Great song, so sad.
