The Beatles – Julia Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I'm a Julia. I was named after this song. Sometimes I play it when I'm going to sleep, and it's as if John Lennon is singing it to me. It's a beautiful song. I'm pretty sure the guitar chords on this song are the most beautiful guitar chords i have ever heard. I think it's so touching that Lennon wrote it about his mother. The references like morning moon, ocean child, seashell eyes, windy smile... It's so touching. |
Radiohead – Fake Plastic Trees Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is what made me really fall in love (and I mean love) with Radiohead. Fakes fakes fakes. They're all around us. The truth really does come out in this song. Everyone and everything is fake. NOTHING is real. No one's happy just being themselves. They just want to please everyone. The gravity line is tad bit for comic relief. As soon as the, "My fake plastic love" comes up, I cry. (Just like Thom Yorke did when he finished singing this song for the first time) But I can't help the feeling I could blow through the ceiling... Wow. It's powerful. And of course the last line. I've never heard anything like this song. Ever. Yorke is pure brilliance. |
Alanis Morissette – Fake Plastic Trees (Radiohead cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
are you serious? |
The Cure – Maybe Someday Lyrics | 18 years ago |
my favorite lyrics from The Cure. "Yeah i'll see you smile As you call my name Start to feel And it feels the same And i know that maybe someday is come" Lost love. Recovered? They'll have to wait around for that someday... |

I.AM.OBSESSED.WITH.ZOX. If they ever are playing ANYWHERE near you, seriously, take the chance to see them. And possibly try to meet them. You won't regret it. I really like the beginning to this song. This is up there with my favorite songs ever, no lie. |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Stadium Arcadium Lyrics | 18 years ago |
what a beautiful song. |
Fiona Apple – I Know Lyrics | 18 years ago |
one of my absolute favorite favorite favorite songs. i'm a HUGE fiona apple fan. and in this song, i can totally relate to her. she's a crowbar. he's in a mess. she's just his backbone. she's just there in the background, watching. "baby i can't help you out while she's still around" unconditional love. she's trying to be patient. she loves him. strong unconditional love. (however, the feelings may be returned) he just doesn't know how to tell her. and she can feel that it may be there. my favorite part of the song is "And when the crowd becomes your burden And you’ve early closed your curtains, I’ll wait by the backstage door While you try to find the lines to speak your mind And pry it open, hoping for an encore" that part makes me tear up every time. i love how she relates the situation to a sort of show, and how he feels like he has to pretend for the people, and hide what he really feels. it's just a great song. and the piano is simply beautiful, with the light sound of the drums to go along with it. this piece is brilliant in showing how some things just have to take time. |
Radiohead – Planet Telex Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Isn't this the song that Thom sang around 2 in the morning, passed out on the floor? Pure brilliance. It opens a remarkable album that should have deserved SO MUCH more credit. The beginning is so new and different. I get so many feelings listening to this song. I feel change, regret, doubt, ruins. Wonderful opening to The Bends. |
Radiohead – Where Bluebirds Fly Lyrics | 18 years ago |
OMG Love this song. I can't find it anywhere but online. And it's wonderful, with the beat and all. I love how there's no distinct words, but the trademark Radiohead "oohh ahhhhh" mixed in there. I feel like I'm on an acid trip. Or in Willy Wonka. It reminds me of the Magical Mystery Tour. And Blue Jay Way. Maybe that was an influence? |
Radiohead – Morning Bell/Amnesiac Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love this song just as much as the Kid A version. It's very pretty. He sings from the heart. I feel the Radiohead from OK Computer on this song. I think I'm in church. But I'm not. I'm in the world of Radiohead! |
Radiohead – Morning Bell Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i used to skip over this song. then i gave it a chance. and it became my favorite off of Kid A. the beginning is brilliant. i picture this song as an ending to an independant film, something deep. with peoples faces. and a line of cars. and bursts of color. and people fighting over the children. i'm very visual. but this song is amzaing. |
Youth Group – Shadowland Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i agree. magical song. pretty song. confusing lyrics. i won't even try to analyze them. it might be one of those songs when they wrote the lyrics not meant for the listener to understand. they could have just come out of nowhere, or be a mix of different pieces of their childhood. |
Youth Group – Skeleton Jar Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"Why am I so miserable if these are the best years of my life goes by like a train I just missed out on being part of the community" wow. what a relation. great song. |
Zox – Can't Look Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
no comments?! zox is my latest obsession. i love this song. it fills me up to the brim with emotions. i don't really know why. i love the violin. "And I've got two good eyes But I still feel so blind sometimes" how true! they do write very good lyrics. and they sound amazing. |
