they toured in like late 2006 or 2007 and were thereafter friends. the song was written obviously before the album was recorded which was in 2005. and panics first album came out about the same time yes virginia was recorded, to where they were virtually unknown at the time. aside from the timelines not adding up, i dont think this song is about them. |

when i first heard this song i thought the falsetto was tight but then the 'highly suspicious' parts came in and i was like what? they have to think this is funny. and whether its serious or not the song is bad ass and i love every second of it, haha, its very different but still incredible, and i LOVE the bass boosts every 4 measures haha, turn your bass up sometime in a nice system and youll hear them. and yah if you hate this song you really dont listen to mmj for the right reasons and you may want to reconsider your loyalty.

this is by far one of my favorite blood brothers songs of all time. the whole era and mental environment this song builds at first listen creates a huge complex vision in my head that i cant even describe. the awesome-ness is overwhelming and oh my god.
now on to my interpretation.
i think the 'chariots' are maybe drugs of some sort?
they race your run, maybe its speed, they kinda go for you, live your life, control it. they autograph everythign for the kids and you dont even know whats going on because youre fucked up on drugs?
