Forced us to the cliff.

We'll disappear by falling out of the view from a third person's perspective at the cliff. They were there, now they are gone.
"One last step we fade away"
Fade away, as the third person realizes they have fallen and are now growing more distant and they descend. Fade away, perhaps into a foggy bottom. |

It is obviously about the suicide pact of two teenage lovers. From some of the words, it sounds like the method is both of them jumping off a cliff at the same time. The "step" references are them stepping off the cliff together, and the line "one last step we fade away" is the perspective of watching them both plummet off the cliff from the precipice and "fading away" from the viewer.
