Megadeth – Sudden Death Lyrics

False majesty standing perfectly still...yep, I would agree that this is describing Satan/Lucifer...the ultimate consumer of the very marrow of the soul and one of Milton's key players in Paradise Lost...musically it's Megadeth back in action bringing it old school like "Peace Sells"...I like this album better than Endgame - darker and more relevant to all the chaos going on right now. |

Megadeth – A Secret Place Lyrics

It's Dave being confessional and putting it out there...I think A Secret Place is about dealing with the dark side of the Force - my inner Alice Cooper (two black eyes and a twisted smile) - I dig the song's simplicity and razor sharp honesty |

Megadeth – The Scorpion Lyrics

Exactly! This song is true and honest and ballsy...it's not about lying politicans, or even cheating women - it's about us. I think Dave Mustaine's amazing deliverance from heroin gives it that visceral "in the trenches" edge. |

Dream Theater – This is the Life Lyrics

Having lived my life in a maze a few years back, this song speaks from experience and is simply beautiful.
Living gracefully...smells like freedom to me- |

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics

Exactly...the road to true freedom and peace with God is fraught with lies and temptations - less talk more action, get on the path of truth and stop being a dittohead lemming. Get a life |

Alice Cooper – I Am Made Of You Lyrics

It's like the confessions of Hard Hearted Alice played magnificently by Vince Furneia...you can see his faith has substance and his soul is genuine - "Your love has made me strong"...Now I'm Free...and you are so right about it being subtle...Alice Cooper is not afraid to uncover what Carl Jung identified as The Shadow...most churches take Christ's message of true freedom and turn it into a self-consumed, judgmental, hollow religious exercise - boring and irrelevant and alienating...Jesus wept |

Alice Cooper – My Stars Lyrics
|
This is a tough one to decipher...definitely apocalyptic end of the world themes going on..."come on you faithful, you know all you people should come to me" - not the Almighty loving God I am acquainted with, sounds more like the used car salesman with that hint of desperation pleading with the masses to fall in line - maybe a reference to the AntiChrist...and maybe the only solution is to blast off from the brutal planet in a rocketship - the final verse being the Robot's speech from The Day the Earth Stood Still...
