Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip – Waiting For The Beat To Kick In Lyrics 12 years ago
I found some links to explain the references.

Lloyd Dobler, reference to his views on life.

Elwood P Dowd, very clear reference to the quote in the video, from the movie Harvey. "For years I was smart, I reccommend pleasant"

Billy Brown played by Vincent Gallo in Buffalo '66, don't know exactly why he is referred to yet, maybe I should watch the movie for that.

Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip – Thou Shalt Always Kill Lyrics 12 years ago
This song is not ironic I think, at least in the sense most of the people here are saying, it is not contradictory that he says what you should do and then says you should think for yourself. He's not meaning to say what you should do, he's meaning to say don't just go with the masses, and consecutively think for yourselves. The only thing that is meant ironic I think is the line at the end where he says "Thou shalt always kill", meaning that you should not just blatantly assume you should kill but think for yourself, it's a test I think. With this irony he also states that you should not take the rest of his lyrics as objective truths but, again, think for yourself. Also, he wants you to be a hipster, not for the sake of being a hipster, but for the sake of thinking for yourself, those are the real hipsters.

John Lennon – Imagine Lyrics 12 years ago
Diversity has nothing to do with countries, also he is not saying we can't be diverse. Also, the whole point of it all is to Imagine, so that way you'll come to new insights and be a better person.

John Lennon – Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) Lyrics 12 years ago
I love how he first says it sarcasticly to the entitled people and then right after he says "well right you are", meaning that if you put in your best effort to be awesome, you will be. Instant Karma right there.

George Barnett – Make Me Smile Lyrics 12 years ago
Shouldn't he be singing "And this youth is wasted on me" then?
